Coming Fall 2027 — Maryland

Where culinary stars are forged.

The Culinary Foundry is a shared commercial kitchen for food entrepreneurs who've outgrown the home kitchen — production stations, dedicated suites, cold storage, and certification guidance, run by people who've actually passed the audits.

The gap

You've outgrown the home kitchen. Now what?

$100K

Maryland's cottage food law caps you at $100,000 a year — and only covers non-perishable foods.

Licensed

Food trucks are required to hold a commissary agreement with a licensed facility.

$10K–$35K

Want to sell into stores? That takes real food-safety certification — $10,000 to $35,000 and 9 to 18 months if you do it alone.

≈ 12

And right now, barely a dozen shared kitchens are listed in the entire state.

Built to produce

A kitchen built for the way you actually work

  • Production stations bookable by the hour, on your schedule
  • Lockable dedicated suites when your volume grows
  • Walk-in cooler, freezer, and dry storage — yours, under lock
  • Packaging and labeling area near the loading dock
  • Commissary agreements for food trucks
  • Certification-readiness guidance from someone who's been through Maryland Health, FDA, and SQF audits — so you skip the $35,000 learning curve

Questions

The details, plainly.

Is my $200 really refundable?

It's credited toward your first invoice when we open. Life happens — if your situation changes and you need to cancel any time before opening, it's refunded in full. If the project doesn't launch, refunds go out automatically.

Where will the Foundry be?

We're evaluating sites in the Frederick and Howard County corridors right now. Founding members get surveyed on location before we sign anything.

When does it open?

We're targeting Fall 2027. If enough founding members need space sooner, we'll accelerate.

Who's behind this?

A food manufacturing operator who's certified commercial facilities, worked with the Maryland Department of Health, maintained FDA registrations, and run SQF systems. This kitchen gets built by someone who's lived the audit — not a landlord.

The Foundry gets built with founding members, not for them. Put your name on the wall.
